Baja Jerky #43 Earns Its First Baja 500 Win With Larry Roeseler
Brawley, CA (June 16, 2021) – Baja Jerky Racing Team powered by Cantina Racing achieved its first official podium win in the Score International Baja 500 Race.
This is Baja Jerky Racing Team’s third race since entering into the off-road community in September of 2020. Driver Larry Roeseler, aka “Mr. Baja,” drove Baja Jerky #43 Trophy Truck through the Baja terrain in Mexico for over 10 hours, unofficially finishing in 3rd position, ultimately placing 1stafter technicalities, receiving his 18th Score Baja 500 class win (12 overall victories), making him the most all-time winning Baja Champion in history.
“We are humbled to accept the first place prize in the 53rd Baja 500,” said Larry Roeseler. “As a new team racing with the Baja Jerky Trophy Truck for only the second time in a Baja 500 race, we were thrilled to even be up on the podium. At the end of the day, we’re proud of the race we ran and are honored to accept the number one spot. On behalf of the Baja Jerky Racing Team, I’d like to thank all our fans for the support, SCORE International for their continued dedication to extreme off-road competition, and most importantly to the people of Mexico for being so welcoming to the off-road community. Additionally our team would like to thank our volunteers, our families, Cantina Racing, Chris Miller, Cameron Parrish, David Katje, Joe Alvarado, Rafa Gongora and Chris Vorhies for their dedication to the sport and having the truck fully prepared for the grueling Baja terrain, as well as BF Goodrich, Vision Wheels, Maxima, Fox Shocks, SDG, Patton Racing Engines, Impact, and Baja Designs.”
“It’s always been a dream to be racing in Baja, and winning after just our third race is a testament to Larry Roeseler and his skills,” says Will Dryden, General Manager of Baja Jerky. “Baja is the inspiration behind our entire brand and ethos. It’s the wonderful people and culture of Baja that drives us and our passion. All the flavors of Baja Jerky are derived from our experiences and adventures of this beautiful part of the world that we always want to escape to. Nobody respects this passion better than Larry. He’s a legend in off-road racing and we’re humbled and grateful that he’s led our off-road team to victory.”
