While the origin of the margarita is highly debated, one version lands the creation of this classic cocktail to the vibrant wonderland of Baja California. Traditionally made with tequila, lime juice, and orange liquor, our version elevates this sweet and sour combo with the tangy heat of Chile Limón! Add it to the rim of your glass and enjoy a burst of elevated flavor with every sip!
BAJA Chile Limón Margarita
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz silver tequila
- 1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier or Triple Sec)
- ¾ oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- ½ oz agave nectar or simple syrup
- lime wedge
- ice
- BAJA CHILE LIMÓN
Technique:
- Spread an even layer of BAJA CHILE LIMÓN on a plate.
- Rub the rim of your glass with a lime wedge.
- Gently press the rim of your glass into the pile of Chile Limon. Twist the glass gently to get an even coating.
- Mix tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave nectar into a shaker. Add ice and shake for 10 seconds.
- Add ice cubes to the glass.
- Strain mixture over ice cubes and garnish with a lime wedge.
- ENJOY!

Our version makes an easy and delicious meal that uses Baja Seasonings Chile Limón and Street Taco to add the perfect balance of zest and heat to this set it and forget it meal. Carnitas Tostadas with Baja Street Taco and Chile Limón
Ingredients:
- 4 lb skinless, boneless pork shoulder (or pork butt)
- BAJA STREET TACO SEASONING
- ¾ cup orange juice
- 8 tostada shells
BAJA CHILE LIMÓN SEASONING
Technique:
- Season all sides of pork shoulder with BAJA STREET TACO SEASONING.
- Place pork and orange juice in a crock pot cooker.
- Slow cook for 8 hours on low or until you can shred it with forks.
Assembly suggestions:
- Spread tostada shell with refried beans.
- Add a layer of shredded pork.
- Spoon green salsa over the pork, sprinkle Cojita powder cheese and add some fresh cilantro.
- Shake some BAJA CHILE LIMÓN SEASONING over the top to finish it off!

Baja Seasonings Street Taco is bursting with elevated flavors that bring together the perfect balance of smoky, zesty, and sweet and spicy that can take your chef game to the next level!
Street Tacos
Cook time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 lb boneless beef steak, cut into ½” pieces
- 1 pkg BAJA STREET TACO SEASONING MIX (or Spice Blend)
- 2 tbsp water
- 8 (4-inch) tortillas, heated with oil in a pan on both sides
- Heat oil in a large cast iron skillet on high heat. Add steak. Cook and stir for 30 seconds.
- Stir in BAJA STREET TACO SEASONING MIX. Cook for 1 minute, add water and cook until desired doneness.
- Spoon steak into tortillas and serve with desired toppings.
Makes 8 street tacos.
Topping suggestions: shredded cheese, diced onion, chopped cilantro, crema, fresh lime.
